They are pressuring me to quit my job, and look for another.?

I just found out that I am going to be replaced, just because the boss does not like me. They told me they will give me time to look for another job. It is hard going to work every day, all I can do is keep my head down. They said my work performance is good, and when I asked what did I do, I get told different stories, like I'm timid with the boss or I didn't give him a message exactly right. (this happened in Nov). They also said to keep them posted if I find another job so that they can go through the resumes for my position.Then I found out they had a help wanted ad, and was keeping it a secret. I wish they would just fire me so I can collect unemployement. My self esteem is so low, that Ive fallen into a deep depression. I'm having a really tough time right now. I really need somebodys help, with this ackward situation.

DO NOT QUIT! Make them fire you so you can get unemployment. start documenting everything that has happened so far and everything pertaining to them not wanting you from now on. Feel good about yourself that they don't have the guts to fire you. They obviously don't want to pay unemployment, so MAKE them! They are behaving in an unethical and immature way, do not let them win by making you feel unwanted. This is their ploy to get out the easy way. Make them fire you, collect unemployment and then sue them for harassing work conditions. This is why you need the documentation. Get co-workers to sign your documents if you can. Hold Strong.

Listen, I want you to look up at the stars, and say, THANK YOU. None of us get to be very successful without going through some really crappy times, so, you are one step closer to being successful. Beyond that, it is hard in your situation. I would look for the job, ASAP. They will give you a good recomendation, it sounds like it was just personality problem. However, really do listen to what they say was the problem and try to correct it. Many employees get into the mindset that the boss is just a jerk, so who cares. Well he has the same mindset generally of other bosses, so take what you can and learn from it.
But, hold your head high dont be embarrassed. Keep in mind, we all learn this way, and life sucks at times, but, if you smile they will say wow, he is really dumb and y ou can smile and say, wow they are crazy to stay in such a wacky place.
