Because of the way Izzie treats Callie, George's Wife, and because she said marrying Callie was a mistake.

She is not giving him the space to make his own mistakes. She talked to Callie while Callie was giving blood and told her that the marriage was a mistake and that George is her friend and she does not want to see him hurt any more than he already has been. That may be a vague reference to what Meredith did to George and how george rushed into this relaionship with Callie. At any rate Izzie hurt Callie's feelings and George told Izzie as much. Izzie tried to tell him that she is there for him but George would hear nothing of it.

Besides the other things mentioned, here's what I think is behind it all...George knows that Izzie really wants to be with him. She was going through the whole Denny thing for so long, he never stopped to consider a future with her...and now she is considering it and secretly resents his marriage because she wishes she were with him. So, George doesn't know what to think because he doesn't have much of a spine and married Callie because she was the first pretty girl to like him. Although I'd hate to see their marriage break up, I think eventually George and Izzie will get married.

Because George knows that Izzie is right, and he is not yet ready to face it. Izzie and George are best friends, and Izzie knows--as does George, in his heart of hearts--that he married Callie on a whim after the death of his father. He's reaching for love where it doesn't exist for him. That's my take on it, anyway.

On the surface it's the thing she said about Callie, but I really think the problem is that Izzie needs her friend right now. She's still mourning over Denny and she was supposed to be the one getting married. George is her best friend and I think she just, subcontiously, doesn't want him happy if she can't be. And he can see through her. But he just wants her to support him and Callie... like he thinks a best friend should. But Callie O'mally.... get real!!! It can't last!!! On that note... Derek and Merideth can't get married, one Grey died tonight and they can't change the name of the show to "Sheppard's Anatomy"! ;)

i didnt watch tonight but im gonna guess it has to do with the comments she made last week about his getting married,and it started when he said he was married then izzie asked callie if she was gonna live in the communal house

i'm with you. I definitely have neglected the countless shows. yet i think of they gets returned to being friends. George is only down spectacular now after no longer passing and having to repeat the year as quickly as extra while everybody else handed. I heard that dreamy ex spouse is coming returned!>!> i desire no longer in all risk did no longer like her.
