no you get no personal/emotional connection to your hand sex is amazing and should not just be thrown around to people just for fun if you only use it as pleasure I'm sure masturbating is better but if you see the connection between two people who have intimate connection then it is the best

I think it is sometimes overrated because a lot of people often think that it has to be like something out a a raunchy movie, all hot and sweaty and full of passion, but that is not always the case.
When you have sex without love I think it can be- when you have a close connection with someone the sex is beautiful, sexy, romantic, etc.
When you have sex out of lust, especially if you have desired someone for a while then it is raunchy and hot and just plain fantastic and yeah it gets you off but that is about it.
Don't worry I have a few male friends who say that they would rather receive a good head job than have sex.
I prefer to have sex rather than masturbate- it's more fun doing it with someone else :)

Then your not doing it right. And by that i mean who ever you were or are having sex with isn't the right one. Sex can be very enjoyable if there is a connection, even if it is just a fisical connection! There doesn't have to be emotions involved, but its even better when there is! Stick to masturbating till you find someone to make sex worth having! Good luck! and HANG in there you'll find the one who will make sex amazing and make you want it all the time!
