Can Wii systems carry music?

I always wondered this and I am not finding any results really on Google. Like.. can you put music on the Wii memory card, like how you can put music on the 360 hard-drive? And if you can when can you play the music? During games? Mii-use games? Or just music player only?

The Wii doesnt have a plain music player, yet. Nintendo might make a Music Channel.

You can play music on the Photo Channel, but only when playing your slideshow.

Excite Truck is a game where you can play music while playing it. You race and listen to the music on your SD card.

You need a SD card to play the music. To put music on the SD card, you need to put it into your computer. Once it is in, put music and photos, if you want, on it. Then insert it in the front of your Wii, in the correct spot.
