I like how you think!
Well, it all starts with will.
If you are WILLING to go through the trouble and hardships it takes to change the world.
Then, there's ambition.
Are you driven? Do you really really want this? So much you'd do almost anything?
Ok, well, once you've got those 2, you're ready to go!
Start with doing what you want everyone else to do. If it's recycling, recycle EVERYTHING you can, even if you have to go out of your way.
Proceed with talking to the city or your school about recycling.
If they won't listen, be a pain in the butt! Do all it takes to get their attention and make them do something.
Talk to people, spread the word. Post flyers, bulletins. Anything to get your point across.
Make a scene! Do speeches in front of crowds, and even boards of people.

Continue recycling and segregating. Do not smoke, drink and do drugs. Nothing beneficial from it anyway.
Be sensitive to those in need, dropping a few coins in charity boxes can go a long way.
Be polite and nice. You'll be more likeable.
Do not give in to peer pressure. God gave us a brain to think rationally so listening to your friends dumb ideas will only make you dumb like them.

become vegetarians, be always polite, don't throw garbage to the street, help some organization, like uniceff or peta.
you could send them an e-mail, asking them for tips.
