and later regretted it? (I haven't, but I'm curious to know how many women wish they hadn't done it)

No.

The women I know who had an abortion didn't just jump to the conclusion. Although they remember the time and at times mourn the child, they don't regret having an abortion.

One friend abortion a baby that would be born with a rare genetic disease and would probably die a few days after birth. Another aborted a baby because she was raped.

A girl I worked with had an abortion. She didnt regret the abortion-she regretted that she had to make the decision to get an abortion. She didnt want a baby because it would have put a stop to her career plans but she said it was a hard decision to have to make. I would personally never have one for any reason. I dont really support abortion but I support a woman's right to decide.

I know a couple of women who had an abortion but neither regretted it. It was the right decision for them at the time.

I was only pregnant twice and both times I wanted to be. Unfortunately, the first time I had a miscarriage. Fortunately the second time I carried to term. My "baby" is grown now.

the girl i know that had 3 abortions and now she wishes she didn't do it because now the doctors don't know if the next baby will have something wrong with it...now she wishes she wouldn't have done it because she wants one now that she is going to be married! The advice i have is that just have the baby if you are the right age and if you cant take care of it ask a family member to help take care of it or put it up for an adoption.

Of the people i know who had abortions (3) none regretted it. They regretted getting pregnant - but were taking pre-cautions - so it wasn't neccesarily irresponsibility. All three knew that, at that point in time, an abortion was what was right for them. How can you regret something that was right at that point in time? I supported all three of them because the decision wasn't mine to make, it had nothing to do with me, and as a friend i would never cast judgement. They did what they had to do at the time.

I had an abortion...can't say that I really regretted it. I regret putting myself in the position to become pregnant by an abusive person which led me to have to make the decision to have an abortion. But had I not done it I would not have lived to go on and meet and marry my daughter's father and give birth to my daughter. I would have been ashes in an urn by the time my daughter was born. I left the abusive relationship right after the abortion...he married his third wife (I was going to be his third wife) and about the time I married my now ex husband my abuser beat his third wife to death.

I know one girl that had an abortion and she said she did not regret it because she was on dope so bad that she said she just knew that something would be wrong with it when it would be born.
She has since then had a baby, it is 2 months old.
But she did say that she did not regret it.

My aunt shawna got pregnant a few months ago with twins. She said she wanted to abort but we told her please don't and my mom even offered to keep the babies for her if she would give birth to them. She got them aborted anyway and she called us crying about how she regretted it the next day.

I'm not against abortion, but my aunt has had about 5 abortions in the past 3 years. It's ridiculous.
