It's not cheating to vote for your own answer. You have as much right to vote as anyone else.

Do you think George W Bush voted for Kerry in the last election? Of course not.

Once I've reached my answering limit for the day, I go back through my old questions and vote on the ones that are in voting. That way they can be resolved, I get the point for voting, and then there is the chance of 10 more for best answer.

I tried that a couple of times however It never worked. I never got a "Best Answer" based on the questions I voted for. I wonder why.

Intelligent or mad.

Intelligent gives votes to be more intelligent.
And some mad peoples gives votes to find out what they are asking for ?

I might star my own question if I think it would be helpful to someone else or has important information would like to see later but I very rarely do that.
