They have no time for it.Their own prosperity and clout will be affected if they bother about corruption.

Yes India is spiritual, democratic, secular and today bubbling with spiritual leaders..Yet it is one of the most backward when it comes to respect the have nots as compared to all those whose basic security needs are fulfilled..We respect spiritual leaders but are driven by capitalists and the wealthier, who want the gaps between the haves and the have nots to keep growing further..The only way to eliminate corruption from our society is to ensure cent percent fair polling for our democratically elected representatives for our governance for prudent laws to check evils and it is here where the spiritual leaders can inspire people to participate in full strength..May be if Sr Sri ji reads this answer, he starts preaching it soon..We need participation of the whole of the country to make it an equitable society which will work and earn honestly than through get quick rich short cut methods at the cost of others, who can be easily exploited !

A good thought. But Spiritual leaders cannot transform the society over night. Corruption is a malady that needs drastic action. Only strong men in the top with dedication and commitment can cure this with equally strong measures. Punishments for corruption should be severe and quick. Human beings are afraid of punishments only for the social evils, not spiritual teaching alone. And cleansing should start from the top. The corrupt taker should be punished along with the giver, then see how fast this malady is cured.

The modern age converted everything to its advantage, such as if u do a mistake and go for some offerings to God & others, the second step only will be highlighted.

No Religion / Spritual leaders taught one to be in the hands of corruption. It is the fake image created by the society. For example, pay 50 Rs. / 100 Rs. and your entrance will be different with that of free or cheap ticket darshan in temples.

Some times the religious leaders set bad example for the same. Ex. the meeting of Sai Baba with the CM of tamilnadu (who is an athiest) kills the hearts of true devotees.

I would like to conclude that the major hole in this path is "the relaxations". Equal rights to all at least in the feet of God should be the only solution.

Perhaps they think that it is not their job and Govt. is meant for it. Moreover in our country some of the spiritual leaders are themselves involved in a large variety of scandals. So what they themselves don't have ,they can't advise others for the same.Be it any religion or sect it never propagates anything immoral or wrong, its the followers who bring a bad name to it.There is a desperate need to arouse your conscience for what a person can do at the maximum is that he can keep a check on himself. If each person of our country has its conscience awaken it can help the country in a big way. Moreover, countries like US that r spiritually not as rich as ours level of corruption is so low comparatively. So it does not really require spiritual leaders to change the course of direction of a country.

Spiritual leaders don't care about anything other than the religion and the spiritual activities. They only spread their religion and take advantage of it. They don't make people to go in a good way. I think they are selfish. Only if there are no spiritual leaders our country will improve by trying new things and not get involved in superstitious beliefs.

Good question. But who are spiritual leaders. Is there any definition. In general, the leaders are telling the philosophical thoughts told by our ancestors.Nowadays they are simplifying the words which is very good. But overall if you read any body's writings or sayings, they all tell only one truth that is "Know Yourself First".In fact this is the basic need for any human being.Corruption is one of the bad things in our human society. But there are lot more things to be eliminated.I don't thing spiritual leaders will take up the job. They can only tell you the difference between the good and bad.We have to identify the good and leave the bad. Thanks for your good thoughts.

Greediness and corruption goes side by side. If you want to finish corruption then you have to remove greediness from people's heart which is a Himalayan task.
I didn't see spiritual leaders encouraging any of their followers for greediness or corruption. Don't they always try their best to purify people's heart and mind too? Aren't they called spiritual leader for their known spreading spirituality among people?
Every moment new babies keeps on coming to this world and to prepare them by virtues is a continuous process seems like unending. So new generation, new leaders keeps on tackling this problem again and again. Only we can do is purify ourselves and propagate. The show will go on and on.

Are Spritual Leaders really have had Spritual Power?
Spritual Power means Authorisation from ALMIGHTY,
The Power of Attorney for something...
to show the path to the others,
If the existing Spritual Leaders are not showing the path
of Honesty and Non-Curruption to their followers,
means....they are still not Authorised to do that,
adoption of Honesty and rejection to Curruption will occour within a moment
when a person dully Authorised will just Say Once
and will not have to say it againg and again...
till we all has to wait.

In the modern world materialistic thinking and approach are more prominant in most of the human minds including the so called spiritual leaders ( in reality, some of them deliberately eccelate the corruption for satisfying their own innner/ hidden materialistic urge). Therefore it is futile to think or expect them to do any good as long as they are remaining like anyother human individuals and not elevating themselves truly to higher plane of enlightment in the spiritual life.

But do not worry much and you will understand what I have answered to another spiritual question. That is, the 'Divine Evolution' which is already on will take care of the problem you have highlighted.

The very first thing is that these so called spiritual leaders have a different motive.

There is an old story wherein a woman took her 10 yr old son to a saint and requested him to rid her son of the habit of eating too much sugar.
Saint thought for a while and asked the woman to bring her son after one month.
Woman appeared with her son after a month and the saint asked the boy to leave the habit. Woman was surprised to note that from that day onwards he had stopped eating sugar.
Curious to know why he took one month to do this small trick she again went to the saint and asked the reason.
He replied - In order to make an impact of my advice I wanted to get rid of the habit myself and that took one month.
