A few months ago my friends and I went to france and met this guy (Ill call him pat) and I made up a yahoo id with this guy pats name in it and emailed my friends pretending to be this guy pat. I fooled my friends and invited them out to a fake restaurant for a party, should I continue to go along with this and just see what happens or quit?

Seriously, that's not funny...that may actually be illegal, I mean, you're impersonating someone else, and your poor friends think that they're going to see "pat". Come on, look at your headline question! I really hate saying negative things, but you are NOT being a good friend. Tell your friends (if you want to have friends now or ever).

How do you know that they haven't been communicating with him and they know it's a fake ID. Remember what comes around, goes around. If you mess with your friends like this (and for apparently for no reason whatsoever), it's going to bite you in the butt times ten.

i dun even know why you are doing this to your friends.
it depends on how well you know your friends. if your friends are having a crush on this guy, then they are definitely going to get very upset with you cos this is a cruel and insensitive joke. imagine you write to this guy whom you have a crush on and then realise that its not the right person...
if you are all just a bunch of friends hanging out, go along and surprise them with some small gifts for each of them and of course, apologise for what you have done.
just dun do it anymore cos i dun think u want to risk your friendship with any of your friends.

No, confess to your freinds. But make sure you play it off as a joke. (IF it will work) Sometimes you need people to talk to IE your freinds. No point in lying to them!
