Shaving and creams (like Nair) cause hair to grow back thicker. Does waxing do that, too? Does it matter where it is (eyebrows vs. legs)?

it's scientifically impossible for hair to grow back thicker or to have more of it when you shave and it grows back, Your body has a certain amount of hair follicles. You can not all of a sudden sprout more follicle when you shave, wax, or anything like that. this is a really stupid myth that has been around for generations and is totally baseless. However, waxing does keep you smooth longer. Also, some creams have hair inhibitors that keep hair from growing back so soon. every persons body works differently, so there is no one way that will work the same for everyone.

No, with waxing the hair grows back lighter and softer.
I would definitely recommend it.
Also, if you wax your legs you wont have those little dots that develop from years of shaving.

it is actually a myth that hair grows back thicker because of shaving. you are actually taking a very fine point hair and blunt cutting it with a razor and making it appear thicker. It is still one hair follicule with one hair. think of it has a split end on your hair on your head. It is an optical illusion that it is thicker. If that were true, all people going bald would just start shaving their hair all of to increase hair growth.

waxing is so much better and it the hair doesn't grow back so fast. it might hurt the first time you do it but in the long run it saves you money on shaving cream, razors and you don't get nicked.
