Are sports fans really as mindless as they seem?

They will whine and complain about EVERY call against their team. Do they really believe their team has never made a poor play or has never committed a foul?

Sorry, but this is really a mindless question. I am not a sport fan at all, but how can you take millions of people who are sports fans, and categorize them ALL as mindless. That's just silly.
