She did that intentionally to save money on models and such. She felt it would keep the money IN the magazine where it counts to the reader. I think it was a good idea. I've never seen another magazine of that size (and they tend to be quite thick) so packed with good stuff and not over run with ads. It seems like many are almost entirely ads and little content.

Oprah is on all the covers...she said it saves the magazine money.

I believe she was going to stop doing her magazine with her on the cover but I am not sure what happened with that . I've always seen her on the cover though!

It's her magazine so if she wants to be on the cover, let her be on the cover...what's wrong with that ? seems quite okay to me though !!

She was made fun of a lot when she was younger so, I guess she uses her magazine as her spotlight. I say more power to her.
