Make a list of some of the things that you would like to do.

Be specific and make them short, don't say "clean house", say "put away papers on desk in livingroom".

Start small, go for one room, or area. Set a time limit, 15min, 1hr... also something small. When time is up, stop. Then decide, do you want to keep going for a little bit longer, move on to something else, or stop all together.

Setup a time a few days a week, but set it up ahead of time and set up a reminder on a calander and make sure you actually do it. Don't make excusses that you don't want to do it today, you will do it tomorrow, then tomorrow will be a few days and the few days will become never.

Get containers to put things in, plastic see through is my favorite. Also get a bunch of lables and just though things into boxes, once they are in boxes you can sit down and go though it while you are watching TV or something.

I like fileing cabnets too. I file phone cables, computer programs, books, you name it. At least I know where it is, and it's out of the way. You can also use banker boxes and put hanging files in it.

Get a friend to help, they can help you and you can help them. It's always easier to do someone elses place than it is to do yours.

I use to be in the same boat. Ironically at work I could do everything on time. So I made a schedule, like I was at work. Once you get on a roll everything else will more or less fall into place as you start to feel better. You will realize not everything can be done when you want it, or to your standards, and accept it. But at least you worked on it. Chow

Sort and pile. Get 4 containers, one for garbage, one for filing (save), one for needs attention now, one for needs attention now...for paperwork. Same type of set up for other items around the home.
