i wouldn't suggest it. i am a prep and i think those are just for you know emo or scene kids. if you want shoes get some ugg boots or slip ons, or birkenstocks. keds are super cute too.

Dude, I think you shouldn't feel pressured to have to go with the status quo. If you like the shoes, wear them with whatever outfit you want to pair them with. (For example, this year I was surprised to see a lot of black guys skateboarding...and a lot of them wear Converse kicks. Not to be racist or anything, but, yeah, stereotypes are still expected, and they shouldn't be.)

Because when it comes down to it, what really matters is how you feel about what you wear. Only you are affected by it 24/7.

These days, the trends are about bringing back old classic pieces, but mixing it up with mod, fresh stuff, so it's not like you're trying to relive the past; you're trying new things, inspired by classics.

Anyway, I can picture those shoes (black goes with everything) with a polo, khakis / jeans & newsboy cap / mussed up hair.

Oh my goodness! for sure you could placed on communicate. At my college, i'm no longer even exaggerating, you both placed on communicate or vehicles with the finest 4% of the college donning some thing else. Like me. it really is not any longer some thing weird and wonderful and that i doubt absolutely everyone will truly imagine about the actual shown truth that you've dedicated the crime of searching preppy and ambitious to placed on communicate. communicate look lovable with some thing! extraordinarily black. you in effortless words can not pass incorrect.

I would say go for it. The great thing about these shoes is that so many differant kinds of people are wearing them. I dont disagree that they "emo" kids wear them but a lot of other types of people wear them too. At least where I come from.....That would be southern california. In my opinion, these shoes represent a lot of differant styles and ages so if you like them go for it. But if your really having trouble deciding maybe they aren't for you.

Yes you can get those. Lots of people wear flip flops all the time. Vans work and some skater shoes sometimes. Etnies, journeys are popular too.

I wouldnt wear those with preppy clothes. I would go with like wallabees or bowlin shoes.

Wow things have changed since I was in school....I mean the preps wore whatever they wanted as far as shoes went.....I didn't know shoes made the person....LOL I thought it was just clothes friends and attitude

okay why would it matter what "label" you are....they are just shoes.... i know so many different people who wear chucks (converse for those of you who don't know) ...they go with pretty much anything...they also come in like a million different colors... and is anyone else getting tired of this whole labeling thing?.... you should buy something because you like it... not because i falls under your "label".......

if you like them get them.Converse are a classic and anybody can wear them regardless of their style.im not a prep but im not scene.My clothing style ranges from Juicy Couture track suits to clothes from salvation army and I wear converse.Converse are worn on everyone from Models to Punk bands to you average joe
