alright where to start... FFX... this sports star guy gets transported to this other world after his city is eaten by a giant whale like creature. there isn't a lot of technology in this world because the whale creature keeps destroying cities. so your party travels around, till eventually you have a high level party armed with a spiked volleyball, sword, spear, etc, who kills the guy... who actually turns out to be the main characters father, and the main character learns that he was just an illusion created by the faythe? who were dreaming of the city he came from.

where would one start? thats a veeeeery broad question. i wish i could help you out with that one. i know both of the story lines and characters pretty well. but there prolly isn't space enough for me to tell all that. lol. but this maybe helpful. you can wikipedia the titles of these games if you haven't already. they give a very good overview. much better then i could. so just go to wikipedia.com and put in the titles. good luck
