Good cheer around, do people return that cheer or just try to bring you down?

depends on the personality of the other person. if the other person is happy with themselves then they are receptive to other's happiness, or "good cheer". if not, then a person who has internal confilict or aren't fulfilled within, then there is no way they can participate in your spreading around good cheer, or as i like to refer to it, "good karma". i believe that we are here to share our gifts with others, a good attitude is certainly a gift, and usually if you are putting off happy vibes, MOST people will receive them and hopefully you will have made a difference in their day, especially if they were having a bad day. But there are just some people out there who are not going to be happy FOR you, or WITH you. you can only keep on going and not let their unwillingness to receive your happy attitude stop you from passing it on...again, you get back what you recieve, in the long run. i was a waitress for nearly 15 years and believe me, sharing "good cheer" is part of the job, and you can't fake that, you either pass it on genuinally, or it ends up to bite you in the butt. i have had the pleasure of receiving such wonderful gifts of a simple smile from a lonely man who may be missing his wife of 40 or so years, to a giggle from a fat cheeked baby showing joy just because you said something silly to them. it's the "hard cases" i find the most challenging which just makes me work harder to try and bring joy to someone who seems to be missing that gift.

Your opening question sure caught some eyes I bet, lol. I find when I try to spread cheer, most people return it unless they are just unhappy people in general.

Well after I picked up my baby girls, I went to Mickey D's to pick up something for them to eat... The girl through the drive through must have been having a reallllyyyy badddd day... My baby girls even took notice to her rudeness...
I just stayed my usual self, and let it go... I think however it did affect my mood later ... LOL! I was feeling a little be`atchy, just take a look at my q&a if you don't believe me... :D

It depends. Usually my good attitude spreads easily--and sometimes, it gets returned with an exasperated sigh from the other person. ;)
