works is basically an extension of school. The bully in school will grow up to be a bully in the work place. So the best way I have found is to stand up to any and all behaviour that makes people feel uncomfortable or scared even if that behaviour is targeted to other people. I may sound crazy but you should stand up and say you will not be treated that way and will not tolereate it any more. If you had kids what would you tell them to do when they are being bullied. I guarantee the idiot who is giving you grief has done the same thing to many more people. I hate bullies, in all forms. As decent people we all have to stand up against them wherever we come across them

Sometimes they don't realize they are bossy, pushy, invasive or rude. So stand up to them, say "I'm sorry, I am sure you didn't mean to make that statement so rudely!" or "I think I can handle this without your input, but thanks for trying to help!" or the great one "This is really none of your business!"

If that doesn't work, go to their boss and have their boss explain they need to stay out of your way.

An employee should always speak only of the daily tasks. Most of the workload seems stupid! [everybody knows one] A reportable co-worker makes life a living hell.

Simply ignore them.... that makes them even more upset that you don't care what they say or think. Do not get on their level for that's what they want you to do so be the bigger person and stay humble.
