ok i know this is gross but is it normal that if you have sex while your on your "time of the month" that you cramp up really bad after that
yes i know its gross to have sex hile your on it but my daughter's father kept on begging & did not care

it is messy but my boyfriend doesnt mind and i always seem to be really horny when im on my period, i dont really cramp bad after but it does seem like i have a heavier period, if anything it helps the cramping

Um, how to put this tactfully.... :)
You probably had an especially energetic/rough night. It's normal, especially if you haven't done it in awhile. I know once afterwards I was reduced to a wimpering ball b/c I had the worst cramps ever. (Trouble walking, practically had my eyes tearing up: horribly uncomfortable) It's normal though, it's just like a strained muscle; it'll go away in about 3 days. Try to walk it off gently. **Heating Pads, esp the disposable ones, will work wonders on this**
All in all, it usually helps with my cramps... gets my mind off of them, anyway

Some people may find it gross as you say, but it can be the most intense sex you ever had, the cramps may come from your uterus contracting, it can be very pleasurable but messy

well, the cramps could have happened whether u had sex or not (just regular period stuff). but, the sex makes ur uterus contract more, so that could be it. i also heard that because of these increased contractions it helps the period move along faster.
