Also if she can't afford a lawyer does the state have to give her one even if she is convicting not being convicted???? Being convicted of child abuse, if not what eles can the girl do?????

Criminal trial...
A child abuse conviction is very difficult. She will not likely get a good atourney. Of course she can get legal council from a State appointed attourney, but in such a difficult case and the rep being State, she would likely never win. The question here is what does she want to get out of this?
Civil trial...
It seems to me in this situation her parents are likely poor, so she will get no money and therefore not be able to attract a decent (or any) lawyer. They are seemingly, not good people so forcing them to let her go back is not a very good option either. If it is for revenge, I'd suggest the best option is the newspaper. Also, if it is brought to light in the paper she may then attract better representation (Pro Quo) from a real firm.

I would think that throwing out a 14 yr old child would be child abuse and needs to be brought to the attention of the Family and Children Services in your town. She would then be placed in foster care where she and her unborn child would receive the care they need. The parents would have to pay child support to the state for her care. I was a foster parent for 12 years and this is how it would happen in Georgia. The most important thing is the safety and well being of the girl and her unborn child.

The Constitutional right to an attorney only applies to those being accused of a crime. I strongly suspect, however, that there are social service agencies that can help this child find legal representation, as well as with other needs.

wish you would have mentioned the state...she needs to go directly to the dept of social services and speak to the child protection services...they can figure it out while protecting her and the unborn child's rights and needs.

This is quite tragic. My heart goes out to all. Please have her check in a Woman Center or Salvation Army or Red Cross. I hope they will help her find someone to help her.
