Because she was able to make peace with her mother before she came back to her body. Rmember when Ellis became coherant a couple weeks ago? She told Meredith that she was a disappontment. Tonight she told her that she was not

Simple.
She said that she thought it would be okay because she said goodbye to her mother and she knew that her mother in telling Meredith that she was not ordinary had done everything she had to do before she died. All the people Meredith saw in her death were there because they had more to do. Ellis has nothing more to do. Plus it is like Ellis put a seal of approval on Meredith's life and her relationship with Derek.

You guys are really ruining this for us guys on the West Coast (it hasn't aired yet here).
I think she would say that because she made her peace with her, pretty much, when her mother had that brief period of lucidity a couple episodes ago.
You can wait for the reruns, or do what I did when I got hooked, which is buy the first and second seasons from Amazon and then download the current season from iTunes.
Some addictions can be expensive! And keep you up all night getting caught up. What a great show!

Because she knew her mother die already when they were in the hallway. Her mom die for she can go back to her life. Meredith and her mom didn't have a great relationship and Ellis thought Mer was a disappointment and average, so that made their relationship worse. But in the hallway they forgave each other and made peace and that when Ellis realized her daughter is special and extraordinary in her own way.

Because there was a lot of unresolved issues with her mother, she had told Meredith that she was just average, and when they passed in the hall and she told her she was not average she was special, she (Meredith) came to terms with all the issues her and her mom had. It validated who Meredith is. She also was able to say good bye.

She said it was okay b/c when merideth was dead and her mother was dead also they didnt the scene when Ellis told Merideth that she was anything but normal and Ellis told her to run back to life which she did So I guess Merideth frogave her in a way and was okay with her dying.

I think cuz in the near death sequence they made up and she is at peace with it and can go on living without regrets

Because her mom had alziemers and was a pain in her butt basicly. Rent the seasons and get updated. its a fantastic show!
