it was an american show,shown around the same time as knightrider,streethawk,manamal etc. i think he could only move at right angles when driving his car or flying his helicoptor.

Don't remember the name of the show, but I remember seeing it - It was a "Tron" kinda thing where the character was like a video game (hence the 90o moves). I remember the "live" character being in a car with the video character and taking a corner at high speed and his face smashed against the passenger side window! It was a cop show.

I think it had Dezi Arnez in it ( son of I Love Lucy ) and Automan had a little helper he called " Cursor". I remember he could only move around at night due to power consumption.
