As stated by the other answerer, the plant is just done flowering :-) But an azalea is not a cascading type of plant and I'm wondering why you planted it in a hanging pot? If you do decide to transplant it into a pot on the ground, remember to plant it a little high from the soil as azaleas don't like to be buried. Good luck.

Azaleas are perennials, not annuals so the plant will continue to live all year long, but will only flower at certain times. As long as the foliage looks healthy, don't worry about your plant.

Your azalea will flower again next spring but for best results make sure that you have planted it into a compost that is more acidic than alkaline - that you provide it with fertilizer- and that it is in a shady spot.
If it shows signs of getting straggly then prune back to regain its shape.

azaleas don't flower year round -- they flower late winter/early spring. if you got one flowering now it came from a south florida nursery.
