I love interviews, it's a game and I know how to play it :) I love to help people out before the interviews to help them know what to expect, and how to prepare and to help give them the confidence they need. I have a Bachelor's degree in accounting and about five years experience. I don't love accounting and am trying to determine a new career field. I've learned that you've got to find a career based on your love of the game, not for the love of the money. I'm just not sure what I want to do though. I'm thinking I could do something with the whole interview thing - maybe I'd make a good recruiter. Any recruiters out there? I'm just worried about the 'sales' aspect. I don't know if my appreciation of interviews is enough to make a successful, happy recruiter out of me! ;)

I love your post. I am going through interviews right now (for a new graduate RN position). If you have the time, post questions (interview questions) and we will try our best to answer them. This will be good for you and us.

Most folks start out in agency or firm work. Make sure you choose a reputable one. Some firms break up the staff with client side/applicant side so you may want to only work with applicants. A good place to start for you may be something that deals in financial staffing, since you know accounting, such as Jefferson Wells.

If you find that you don't like recruiting look into an outplacement firm such as Lee Hecht Harrison. Another course of transistion may be for youto use your accounting skills and move into HR via benefits and then to recruiting. Good luck!
