With strong religious concerns from within Russia, namely, Christian and Muslin, there would be and expected to have an impact on the laws and alliances Russia might have with its global neighbors.

Also, the economy and industry might be affected with more or less concern for laws, ordinances, rights and benefits afforded the farmer or other industries within Russia.

So, in essence if separatist groups gain independence from Russia, entirely, rather than be a force within Russia in its governmental procedures, the new separatists state might be a force that may be needed to be dealt with outside of Russia's authority and as a separate nation. Representation in the U.N might not be cohesive between Russia and a newly formed independent separatist state.
