Knowing that your best friend in the world is yourself.

Don't worry about others. They have their own problems and concerns.

You worry about yourself--and you do what you think is best for yourself.

Remember, no body knows more about you, and cares more about you, than yourself.

It's your life. Own it...Live it!

You must start with believing in yourself no matter what anyone else says. You must have confidence that you are a good person, and you dont need anyone else to approve of you or what you do. You dont need people that are just bringing you down. Hang around people that are always positive, happy, have a good outlook on life, and then you will too! Dont get down on yourself, think of all the good things about yourself, and then build on that, create what you WANT to be!

Why should you care what others think? Ask yourself a few questions:
Do you do your best?
Are you honest?
Are you honorable?
Do you try to help others?
Do you give fair measure in your work and in your family life?

Those are the things that matter. Rich, poor, black, white, yellow or purple with yellow polka dots don't matter. Nor do other people's opinions. Hold your head up and be the very best version of you that you can be. And the rest can go do whatever with themselves.

I suffer from this feeling a lot too, but I've come to realize that it mainly stems from me, my own feelings of self-consciousness, and negative feelings about myself..it's hard to convince yourself of this, but you have to try.
I find giving myself pep talks helps to rid myself of the negative self-talk, such as , "I'm proud that I'm a decent person who always trys her best," know it sounds corny, but it sometimes helps. Just keep reminding yourself of all the good things you possess...remember how when you were a kid and the world was bright, and all yours to conquer...try to rekindle that child within you as much as possible. Occupy yourself with things you enjoy and make you feel good about yourself. Surround yourself with supportive people who appreciate you for you. You have a lot to offer to others, never forget that

Sometimes you just have to know in your own heart that you are being a good person and doing the right things. People who degrade others are usually insecure and do not feel good about themselves. They feel better by attempting to drag others down.

So what those other people say and do says more about them than it does about you. Be glad you don't have to be like them.

Good question.

It's especially tough when that other person might be a parent or loved one who poo-poo's your .

But not everyone is going to tear you down.

If you can look at yourself rationally and say, "Look, I got this going for me. And that too. Infact I got quite a lot of good things..." It kind of snowballs on itself.

But you gotta focus on your positive traits or ideas.

That is the time you more boast of your self-confidence because tearing you down means their defeat.

Great question! You simply get mad about it and show people who you are and what you are made of. People around you should love you as you love yourself. If not is their loss. Stand out and be proud.
