I was wondering if it is possible to play games like World of Warcraft or Counter Strike Source online with using a dial up internet connection?

Most of the newer game servers won't let you connect with a dial up connection.

Not exactly sure about those games specificly but some games allow you to do it but there is usually very bad lag when you play especially when other people have a high speed connection in your game. I'd say just check the game manual for online requirements and it should say wether you need high speed or not.

all of it relies upon upon the game. i'd be in a position to play Grand robbery automobile: San Andreas on my Xbox 360, yet now no longer Tony Hawks Underground Skating 2. i'm no longer positive what determines if a interest is playable from Xbox to Xbox 360, all i comprehend is a few artwork, and some dont. internet Connection has no longer some thing to do with it.

some games let you use dial-up, but you be at huge disadvantage when playing first person shooter. you most likely get lag, not good.

but most new games require you to have dsl or higher.
