What are Jack's tattoos on lost? I missed most of the part where the asian girl said, 'there will be consequences..'
What's the story there? Why did he get the tattoos, and what was the big deal?

Thanks, I saw that part. I'm talking about when he was with the asian girl in his flashback and first got the tattoos. Why did they turn against him and beat him up?

she said that she was only allowed to use her gift on her people.... and she broke the rule...
the consequence was that he got beat up and told to leave the island...

They did explain the meaning of the tattoo. Each Chinese symbol has a different meaning individually, but put together, "Eagle," "Strike," "Lost," "Void," and you get the meaning of his tattoo. You are a leader—a great man, but this makes you lonely, and frightened, and angry. That is the meaning of Jack's tattoo.

"You walk among us but you are not one of us". That was her job to read people and tattoo thier meaning. I dont know what the big deal was, but her brothers wanted Jack off the island at that moment. Lost is CRAZY!
