They have not released a Beta release date. It will be this Spring.

The Halo 3 BETA does not come out until sometime in April.
When you purchase the Crackdown game for xbox 360, it comes with a download key for the BETA, however you cannot download/play Halo 3 Beta, until April

well for the release date I have no idea, but what I know is this:
when u buy Crackdown u get an invitation to play the game :D
