This is a common truck and a easily enhanced engine but its hard to find bolt on stuff like K&N cold air and throttle body spacers. When i do find them...WOW the price is crazy compared to chevy and ford trucks. Any suggestions to a good bolt on?

Im not whinning or complaining. I simply want to know if anyone has an idea why this particular model and engine has a higher mark up on engine parts and accesories. Obviously you dont know the answer, so why did you bother? You must own a parts store or work part time at pep boys!

the dodge 4.7 is a mercedes designed engine. if you do find bolt on performance parts, shell out the cash for them and put them on. quit whining about price. if it costs too much, don't do it. simple.

If you are serious about wanting to make your truck perform better, then you have to be willing to shell out the cash for the proper equipment. http://www.k&n.com may have a kit for your truck that is high priced, but they did all the research and fabricating, so you can just bolt it right on. They are expensive because they are not cheap to make, and hey, you didn't take the time to make it yourself, so don't complain so much. And if you do buy from k&n then the equipment should come whith some kind of satisfaction warranty, so if you don't like it then you can send it back.

Get as far away from the 4.7 as possible.
