I have an interview tomorrow and on the phone she asked me why I wanted to work there and I couldn't think of anything. I know its not the type of job where you need a lot of experience or anything. I just have anxiety and I am nervous about what to say. Can anyone give me any tips on how to answer that type of question?

Anxiety and nervousness about a job interview are normal, but, whatever you do, don't let that stop you from making a good impression! I'm 33 and have been in the workforce since I started working in my family's store at age 9, and I've seen great interviews and not-so-great interviews...and I've had my share of both, so here are a few of my tips:
1. Just be honest! When they ask you "why do you want to work here?", well, why *do* you? What made you apply? What particular things about the job got you interested enough to apply in the first place? If you're applying "just for a job", okay, that's not good enough, lol! However, there are probably lots of reasons once you calm down and think about it: job experience, looks like a fun environment, close to home, you're a fan of Toys R Us (make sure you mean this, if you're just making it up for the interview and couldn't give a hoot about the company, it will show in your work, I don't care what anyone says), you love kids (ditto), you enjoy helping people/making people happy, etc, etc. I'm sure you'll come up with your own reasons for wanting to be there.
2. Plan ahead! Before going into the interview, try to interview yourself so that you'll be prepared and have an idea of what you want to say when they ask you questions. For example, most interviews that I've been in have asked me what I feel I can offer to the company (your answer can be something as simple as bringing a sense of excitement and energy to the floor), what traits I think are my strongest and what ones are my weakest (think these through carefully, maybe make a list on paper and work out how to word things diplomatically; for instance, if one of your weaknesses is constantly sleeping in and being late for things, don't say that! Just tell them that you're not a morning person, that you're more alert in the afternoon, or that you're more of a night owl), where do I see myself in 5 years (be honest here, don't tell them you intend to be vice-president of that company in 5 years just to impress them, they won't believe you and you'll look like a goof, lol! If your long-term goals have nothing whatsoever to do with the job you're applying for, don't worry about it. All they want to know is if you actually *have* goals!), and, the original posted question, why do I want to work there?
3. Show confidence, even if you're scared shirtless! The easiest way to fake this? Good posture! No, seriously! Hold your shoulders back, your chin up, your back straight, and look them in the eye when you speak to them (don't stare them down, but don't keep looking around furtively -- it conveys a sense of untrustworthiness, if you get my drift). This is important whether you're standing or sitting, don't slouch, don't fidget, and don't mumble. Speak confidently and let your personality shine through! :)
I hope that helps you out...go get 'em, tiger! :)

It's a common (also tricky) question to keep interviewees on their toes. Thanks for telling us the type of company (it makes is easier for me to answer the question). It's a company with a fun atmosphere. They don't want anybody that has a stern attitude and doesn't get along with people/customers. Keep your attitude 'spunky' and with zest. Have fun with your interview, but at the same time keep it professsional.

A 'relaxed' answer would be...I need the money and this looks like a fun place to work at. Also, I always wondered what it would like to work here since I was a kid.

Don't be nervous and Good Luck
