I'll take verlander, reyes and wells... don't care much for Johnson and I would take the deal without him.

Reyes is a big upgrade to Fucal, Wells is slightly better than Holliday and Verlander is a decent play. Overall it's about a 15% improvement but it could work on both sides depending on who your other players are. If you take Verlander you should already have a good pitching staff and not hope that he will carry your pitching categories.

Pretty simple.... Take Johan, Furcal and Holliday.

Johan and Reyes is pretty much a wash. Holliday is a better fantasy player than Wells (Better in all categories except steals). Verlander will slump this year I think, because he does not have a strong K rate and struggled after the All-Star break. Randy Johnson is a complete question mark. Furcal is a consistent .285 AVG, 15 HR, 60 RBI, 100 R, 35 SB guy. I would rather take the consistent bat over the 2 ??? pitchers.

Trust me on this... Take Johan and company.

At first view, i thought it was a given, but its actually complicated. First of all, if somebody simply offered me a trade where i get the Big Unit and Verlander and i lose santana, i would reject it. Santana is way better than either. Verlander had one great year, but who knows. The Unit is injured. I think he'll be fine, but he's old. Reyes beats furcal, but furcal set a bunch of career highs last year, so its not that furcal is terrible. Vernon wells and holliday are virtually identical. great batting averages, home runs, rbi, runs. so you can eliminate them from the net equation. its either santana and furcal, or verlander johnson and reyes. i have to go with the first group because santana dominates and pitcher more than reyes does at SS

Team 1 will be getting the better deal...

1) Johan has no offense and no other SP to take the pressure off him (only legit SP)
2) Furcal is on a decline (look at his stats last year)
3) Holliday is good, but Wells is just as good or better

- Verlander is a stud with a good offense
- Johnson will get a boost from going back to ARZ
- Reyes is slated by some as the best SS in fantasy baseball
- Wells is a monster

Santana and Reyes is a wash. Holliday for Wells is even. So basically you're getting Verlander and Big Unit for Furcal. This is a pretty fair trade. I would lean slightly toward Santana/Furcal/Holiday.

DEFINITELY THE SECOND GROUP!! Verlander is a 200 K pitcher. Johnson can still put up the numbers. Reyes and Wells are both young and ready to really breakout. The second group will get you everything: K's, ERA, Steals, HR's, AVG, Runs.

Also, the the only guaranteed success in the first group is Santana, and he's only a starting pitcher that'll pitch once a week for you. Furcal is inconsistent batting wise and Holliday has yet to prove himself a true fantasy star.

I'd lean towards the second group, although Randy Johnson probably will be one of the most dropped players this year.

I love Santana, but in a standard 5x5 league, Reyes makes more impact given the lack of elite shortstops relative to the depth at SP.

santana, furcal, and holliday by far. verlander is not a proven vet. randy johnson might not ever be healthy. youll be getting the very best pitcher, good ss, and a great of.

The 4 player side. Much better up side with these four. Hard to give up Sanatna but if your league gives pts for steals then Reyes is a must have.
