Bockwinkel is definitely at the top of the list for smart wrestlers. He could certainly outthink, outmanouver, and outclass just about anybody he stepped into the ring with. While guys like Bruno Sammartino and Andre the Giant were physical wrestlers who could pound the crap out of you, Nick was always a mental wrestler, which certainly helped him chalk up many of his victories. Ric Flair and Larry Zbyszko were close, but Bockwinkel is the king!

Depends on what kind of smarts we're talking about. I think either Hogan or Kevin Nash are the smartest wrestlers of all time. Neither one was very talented in the ring, but they knew how to talk to people, how to make friends in high places and how to keep their spots. Look at Nash now, he doesn't even wrestle, all he does is a bunch of backstage segments, I don't know what he's getting paid, but lets face it, Kevin Nash doesn't come cheap.

Bockwinkle was definitely smart one. I also believe you would have to put Ric Flair and THE ORIGINAL Gorgeous George right up there.
