Both really, there's always the chance something exciting might happen, though the last time there was, was when Jarvis dropped his pants at God, sorry Michael Jackson doing Earth Song.

This year I heard that 11 of the awards went to artists on Universal which kinds of lends weight to the old back slapping industry types argument.

As for the awards themselves, how the hell the Arctic Monkeys won 2 is beyond me.

a farce- a cynical exploitation on behalf of the music industry who try to sell to us an image that they truly care about music, when in truth it is all about making money and acknowledging crap records and talent. i despise the brits and the music industry: both of which as entertainment establishments are prime examples of institutions existing merely for financial gain, as opposed to further promoting and enhancing artistic, musical and creative excellence. the only memorable highlight of the brits was when jarvis cocker invaded michael jackson's stage 11 years ago during that 'tiresome and irksome' rendition of earth song
