I became cynical when I realized how immature and sick my father was when I was about ten years old... he refused to admit when he made a mistake, and even worse, he was so childish, that he refused to apologize for what he had done, no matter how awful it was...he was quick to use his fists...he also was very religious, and I found his holier than thou attitude in public repulsive when I knew how violently he acted towards his family.

When the Republican judges on the Supreme Court stole the 2000 election for Bush. I see it all clearly now. The courts are corrupt, the justice system is a joke, it will let big business poison millions of people but nail a cancer patient who uses the wrong medication to get thru their chemotherapy. The churches are corrupt, they are just in it for the money. The press is corrupt, they just lie for the ruling wealthy priviledged elite. Its sad, too. The country had wonderful ideals. Now I see them as all either lies or as dead, killed by people a lot more cynical than I will ever be--guys like the Republicans on the Supreme Court.
