No, and some people go straight to wearing contacts once they discover they need corrective lenses. And if you wonder if you need to be a certain age as well, I'll say that I started wearing them at 13, which is considered a little young, but since I'm very near-sighted, my doctor at the time knew I'd see better with contacts for two reasons. One, the lenses would be right on my eyes of course, and two, the place that makes their glasses at the time couldn't make the high prescription that I needed. (Since then, technology has improved) I also feel that wearing contacts has helped keep my prescription from worsening since my eyes didn't have to strain through the distance to my glasses.

Hope this helps.

I wore glasses at the age of 10 and I got contacts when I was 13. BELIEVE ME! I know you might want get contacts for many reasons so I think the best is wearing glasses all the time when you're at home and use contact lenses all the time that you go out. that's what I do.that way your eyes will get used to both things and you won't have problems in the future.

No, but glasses do not change your eye prescription as much as contacts does. Like glasses usually keep your eye prescription much more steadier than contacts, if that makes sense.
