Animal Farm is a good commentary on what people believed Communism was, and many of them were right. Napoleon started as a leader in the revolution against those who had power, the bourgeoisie, and became the spokesman for the "people" His bullying really comes out when anyone who says anything critical of him or his group finds themselves being sold for food, or glue as the case may be. It became a rule through fear, especially the fear to speak out.

Strangely enough a lot of parallels can be seen in China these days, but the Chinese read the book or see the movie and really have no clue as to what it's about, they think it is just a good story.

well if you have read the whole book.... youll know that napoleon is the animal that lies and conseeds and scams people and brainwashes them into thinking that he is the best and that you should hail him..... first him and the other pigs are like 4 legs good 2 legs bad but then in the end the book just goes into a circle and starts where it ends the saying from the sheep at the end is 4 legs good..... 2 legs better..... Napoleon is a self-ish animal that doesnt share and wants everything to himself.... the good beds in the house.... the apples.... the oats.....

Well, raising the puppies and using them to kill the other pig and keep the rest of the animals in line through the threat of bodily harm would kinda make him one, don'tcha think?

Somebody didn't do his homework.
