you know them SAINTS are darn good. i wouldn't say the best in the league but they are up there with the best.
whats that they say down in NEW ORLEANS??

They were never the best team in the NFL to begin with. Lets face it, the Bears are still better then the Saints, but that could change with the free agency period and the draft. I believe the Panthers will be back next year. The Eagles could be in the same boat. On the AFC, you can NEVER count the Patriots out, The Ravens and the Bengals are always iffy. I think the Chargers will not be as good next year. And then their are the Colts. I will put the Saints tied for 3rd in the NFL with the Bears behind the Colts and the Ravens. You do need some corner help and lets not forget, Brees is hurt again. Yes he just came back from what was a bigger injury, but an injury is an injury, throwing arm or not. By the way, I'm a 9er fan so I have no ties to any of these teams, I just call them the way I see and feel them.

No, they are/were not.
AFC: New England 12-4, NY Jets 10-6, Baltimore 13-3, Indianapolis 12-4, San Diego 14-2
NFC: Philadelphia 10-6, Chicago 13-3, New Orleans 10-6
So with above with '06 season in the books, I see them tied for 5th with Philly and NY Jets. Be happy they are in the NFC side of the house.
I'll give them 4th because they did lose in the NFC Champ game but Indy and NE (or any other of those AFC teams) would have shut them out in the SB.
Glad there are hopeful fans out there who still care for their team no matter what. A true fan is a great thing.

Gee... I recall the COLTS won the Superbowl.... soo best team in the league....no... but they had a good year, you wont know if they were great or not until next year, if they continue to play well. every team is entitled to a good year, but great teams continue to play well....like the 70's steelers...80's 49'ers....90's cowboys...
just for the record...I favor none of these teams.. just showing an example... I favor the Bengals... what can I say..I am from Ohio!!! lol lol lol

They're a good team, but not the best team by far.
I don't recall seeing them win the Super Bowl this year either (or ever for that matter). It's pretty bad when you still don't have as many Super Bowls as my Buccaneers and they only have one.

Katrina didn't stop you but the Bears did.......the team showed promised but in the NFL that does not always translate into the next year..........look at the Steelers last year

They never were the BEST team in the league. They are one of the BEST team but there are atleast 6 teams in the AFC that are better than them.
