I would like to start a business using ebay. I am leaning towards selling purses and shoes. If anyone knows any tricks of the trade or any bit of information that could help me out. I would greatly appreciate it.

I have an ebay store that I've been selling on for years. The thing you have to consider is how many other people are selling the product(s) you want to sell and at what price are they getting for the items. You have to find a wholesaler that is going to offer those products at a low enough cost so you can sell them cheaper and still make a profit. Research the products first, research different wholesale companies then decide.

Hi there Heaven.
We live in heaven downunder in New Zealand.
Try http://www.ourcoolbiz.com There is a book that helped us when we started working with online auctions both here and abroad with e-bay and the smaller less known sites.

Its got a list of 400 wholesalers and 700 dropshippers on allsorts of products.

Theres great tips and advice there as well. You can subscribe to the e-lessons for free as well. These are full of auction site info thats sent every few days so you do not get info overload.

Also hunt for some info on e-bay powersellers and see if they have an e-mail which you can subscribe to that will give you tips and hot topics so you can chase the trend so to say

Hope that helps you

All the best with your business

This is a good idea since the overhead is low and you can work anywhere and anytime that you want. From my experience, your pricing has to be very competitive. It's not easy to sell shoe because it's difficult to imagine how it will look without trying out. SG Ebay is not a popular site. Try SG Yahoo Auction, you'll see the different. Good luck!
