Massacre: Does the date 9/11/2001 mean anything to you?

Democrats think that all the violence is our fault. If only we would makean effort to understand these thugs, the world would magically become peacefull. I think excessive reading of the NYT causes brain damage.

You do realize that not all Republicans see things the way you do, don't you? So addressing this just to Democrats is faulty.

There is no accurate way to predict what will happen in the future. If there were, we could be millionaires. No one knows what will happen if we withdraw our troops from Iraq, just as no one knows what plans the terrorists might be making.

Because we don't know what the future holds, we need to have a pragmatic approach and solve the problem that exists right now. That problem is a civil war in Iraq in which our young men and women are simply targets. They don't know who the enemy is or what their mission is. Don't believe me? Rent a movie called "The Ground War" and hear it from their own lips.

We are paying too huge a price in casualties, deaths, injuries and money attempting to "win" something that cannot be won by the military. We need serious diplomacy and we need to listen to the Iraq Study Group's recommendations.

Liberals fail to realize, that a failure in Iraq will mean the terrorists will take over the weak government; along with the 2nd largest oil reserve in the world. What do you think the terrorists will do with all that oil money?? They're gonna use it to get better weapons and better training, probably give money and oil to Iran and help jump start they're slumping economy, thus making them and the Iranians stronger militarily! Of course, then they'll bring the fight here or to Israel! Either way triple the number of American lives lost, and probably quadruple the number of non American lives lost! High civilian death rate as well!

Note to person above my post. Most of the extremists in Iraq are from either Syria, Jordan or Iran predominantly. With some from Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Turkey and elsewhere! Afghanistan fighters play a very very small role in Iraq...very small!

Who do you decalre war on is first and foremost if you want to argue this intelligently.

How can america decalre war on IRAQ using data from attack on 9/11 with no evidence to support IRAQ was behidn it?

Second, if we want to stop another 9/11 we have to neutralize the taliban and al queda in Afganistan. Plain and simple. A win there will at least clear that region, strengthen the afganistan government and free up our troops that can be redeployed to installations that will kep that region secured.

If you want to talk about taking the fight to them, then lets beat them on their own soil, that being afganistan where theyve called home. where they fought russia and beat them back.

thats their ground, lets take it.

NEXT we spend the trillion s on securing our own border with more troops more technology and our embassies around the world.

Then we gather a coalition task force that will hutn down terrorist in different regions. pplain and simple, hunt them down in a global effort.
BUT DONT KEEP THEM IN THE MIDDLE OF A CIVIL WAR in the middle of two sides shooting at eachother andblowing up eachother -- and try to go door to door looking for terrorists.

thats dumb.

If the IRAQ governemnt wants to allow the civil war to continue, then hey, thats their perogative, we stand close by, ready to strike, ready to impede any significant attacks or battles.

WE regroup our troops and strewngthen our dimplomatic position -- because roight now, every country is starting to retreat.

And britain , saying alls well, and Bush trying to say alls well enough to britains forces withdrawal is a lie .. when pentagon reports that area is one of the top 5 dangerous areas in IRAQ

Please tell me how the terrorist will get into the country if we actually shut down our borders and secure and protect the ports like the Democrats have been wanting to do since the April 2001 Senate commision on terrorism issued it's report, headed by Joseph Biden. He wanted to do it in April 2001, and Bush still hasn't done it. How the h*ll are the terrorists going to get into the country if we start implementing the 9/11 commission's suggestions that Bush won't do? They don't have the military we do, so they can't use ships. You see, we have to be smarter than they are. Not be like they are in their violence, we just need to be smarter. BTW, Iraq didn't attack us. Bush has increased terrorism in the world. The question is, how do we repair the catastrophe that Bush created so that we can stop adding fuel to the fire that helps recruit people into terrorism.

Bush named this 'war' the "War on Terror'. Good label. But I seem to remember that there were NO terrorists in Iraq when this label was given to the world to scare the pants off of everyone. Now it is just a label. No more. It follows everyone daily, weekly, monthly, yearly.
There will be no more 911 's in the United States.

Gung ******* ho!
Did we ask the Iraqi civilians if they wanted to stand in for us? The "fight them over there..." bullshit never takes into account the civilians that are killed. Instead their deaths are rationalized away by saying "they died for freedom".
Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. The plot that was foiled in the UK last summer had nothing to do with Iraq and the Taliban is gaining strength in Afghanistan. You want to tell me again how fighting insurgents in Iraq is keeping us safe?

Feel like enlisting ? Don't let me stop you.
We are creating this problem and creating terrorists faster than we can kill them. If the war comes to US soil we have only the Republicans to blame for it.

The war will end here with our people brutality torchard and killed. Worse than 9-11 will happen here if the terrorists are not taken down. They are breeding new terrorist every day to work their way to us.

Behold: It was NOT Iraq who attacked US. It was Saudis. Yet we are friends with the Saudis. It was also Afghanistan. We have diverted resources from the war against Afghanistan to the war against Iraq. Who did NOT attack US.

Behold: you are HERE. The war is THERE. If you like the war, go to Iraq and fight it. Thank you.
