Well, a good psychiatrist will ask you probing questions that will give him or her a very good idea of who you are, where you are at, and what problems you might be having. Thus, instead of worrying about a "presentation" just try and answer all the intake questions truthfully and if at the end, he or she still doesn't seem to be getting a point you wanted made, than simply clarify it.

Just come out and say what you need to say. Most psychiatrists have heard a lot and whatever you have to say about your feelings has probably been told to them by someone else. I go to one and I understand what you are saying. I was nervous when I was in the waiting room but once I got in the office I just started talking.

Depends on youre problem , but honesty is the best way to talk to youre psychiatrist.
Iff not you kind a start on a losing streak as how on earth is he to know where and how youre problem was created or rooted.
They ony educated mind helpers not mind readers.

I would be completely honest with a psychiatrist. They are bound by the hippocratic oath to keep everything confidential. Unless they think your life is in danger. Everytime I think I am going to disappoint mine by telling him about a setback he absolutely never makes me feel that way.

when u meet the doctor he will make u comfortable first.try to settle down relax,u know he can answer most of ur doubts.do not hesitate,do not hide anything.try to tell ur problems in a chronological manner giving importance to the most serious problem first, followed by others.the more precise u r with ur problem the more easier it will be for the doctor to arrive at a diagnosis & start treatment.

You just start telling them what is bothering you and go from there. There is no real method. You just do what you feel comfortable doing. It's always good to see someone who doesn't know you. You can get things off your chest you wouldn't tell anyone close to you.

AT FIRST, I DON'T NEED A PSYCHIATRIST TO PRESENT MY PROBLEM.

THE PROBLEM IS TO FIND A SOLUTION FOR THE PROBLEM.
IT IS THE PROBLEM OF THE PSYCHIATRIST, THE MOMENT A PATIENT REACHES HIM.
THE PRESENT WAY OF LIFE OR BEHAVIOUR OF THE PATIENT IS IMPORTANT FOR THE PSYCHIATRIST NOT THE WAY OF PRESENTATION BY THE PATIENT.
