my vote is for white trash, i can not believe that the men who claimed to love her more than life itself would allow her to use drugs and sleep around, I am tired of hearing about it

I wouldn't go as far as white trash, but she was closer to that than a cultural icon.

At some point you really have to give Anna some credit. She grew up dirt poor. Dropped out of high school, got married, pregnant and divorced by 18. Became a stripper, was such a bad stripper she was only to strip during the day, when she met Marshall.

Think about it, the only thing she really had was her body and beauty. She turned from a Playboy centerfold to a full fledged Guess! Model. When she had accomplished some goals in her life, she married the old guy. She was no different from any woman who has limited choices. But at the very least, she didn't raise her son in poverty. She wanted love and a life better than the one she grew up in. She made bad choices, HKS for one, and people took advantage of her. She capitalized really on the one thing she had... her looks and body.

There are a long list of women in Hollywood who have done the same things, Marilyn, did drugs and slept with the Kennedy boys. Madonna, Carmen Electra. On the male side, John Belushi, James Dean, Mike Tyson. Many people stumble and fall, hers was just way too tragic. What mother can give birth one moment, and have another child die three days later. And for that, many people feel she never had peace.

Seems that a lot of you are so judgmental. She was not white trash or an icon. Simply a girl who had a bad childhood and made some bad decisions along the way. How wonderful so many of you have had such perfect lives. Congratulations. Anna was a human being, and she doesn't deserve all this trash talk.

Cultural icon for the white trash population

I think trashy s-l-u-t is appropriate.....

I don't really understand why Anna Nicole Smith is getting so much attention. Some have compared her to Marilyn Monroe, but there is hardly a comparison....

Marilyn Monroe
- Played a bimbo, but was far from being a bimbo in real life
- Was a famous actress and could act
- Was seductively sexy
- Didn't have falsies
- Did not marry for money

Anna Nicole Smith
- Is a bimbo and trailer trash
- Only in porn movies and cannot act
- Was a partially lesbian as noted from her porn movies
- Was a s-l-u-t rather than seductively sexy
- Has falsies
- Married for money

She wasn,t white trash, White trash to me are poor like hillybillies that lives their life the same every day. She started out trash but money and fame changed her white trash was. Even if she goes on and on with nothing she at least made a better impression she did it the old fashion way she earned it. Personally myself she was more trampy than trashy, I never liked her and she was just for the media to rip about.

Shes definitely not a cultural icon, but I think calling her white trash is a little harsh, too.
