My nine year old daughter has an amazing voice and is a great actress! I didn't even know how good her voice was until I heard her singing in the shower a few days ago! How can she become a singer/actress? I really think shes got great talent!

Encourage it then. Start taking her to classes for voice lessons and acting lessons.

I don't mean to be offensive, but literally every mother on the planet thinks her kid is the next Wunderkind in some venue or other. Frankly, a lot of people can really sing well, but to get to the big time, you have a long, long, long road ahead. I would simply tell her she is good, and perhaps encourage her to try out for muscial plays at school, join community theater, and that sort of thing. And when you hear other kids, you may decide yours is not quite as great as you intitially thought. Perhaps she is, but you need to hear what others are capable of first, and like I said, there are a lot of people out there who can sing and act. The business is all about connections, being in the right place at the right itme, more connections, agents, cattle calls, and a lot of disappointment and dashed dreams. She needs her education first and foremost, because most people don't get success in show business (regardless of their amazing talent). The road to stardom is paved with the disappointments and dashed dreams of thousands upon thousands of amazingly talented people.

Well, first thing, just ask her if she'd like to pursue her singing and acting interests. If not, well, there's always soccer or gymnastics and I hope you have a wonderful life, lol. If so, then enroll her in some voice lessons and acting courses. The best place to find out about them is to talk to the arts teachers at her school. If they don't know anyone, then go to your local high school. Chances are, the curriculum there has a theater arts class, and the teacher for that course can steer you in the right direction while the chorus/music appreciation teacher can help for the vocal. If you don't have any of these options available to you, then just do an internet search for "vocal lessons" and "acting theater lessons classes workshops" for your city or area. Some helpful websites you might also like are Explore Talent, Too Spoiled, Star Search Casting and Craigslist when your daughter is ready to begin booking jobs, but only after some learning. If you want to do well at a job, you have to train for it! Best of luck and I hope I've helped!

No offense, but everybody thinks their kids are talented.

You need an objective viewpoint. Try enrolling her in some classes. Teachers will be critical and will help kids advance. Classes are also a good way to make connections and build a network of artists. Also have her audition for school and community theatre productions so she will get a feel for working with others, because acting is a very group-oriented activity.

Most of all, it's fine to encourage your daughter, but never ever EVER push her to do something she doesn't want to do. This will only spark problems later. Not everyone enjoys life in the spotlight. Look how the life of an entertainer has permanently warped Britney Spears.

hard to respond to with out specifying gender or whom the objective industry would be yet right it fairly is an opinion for ya. i think of the coolest issues to right here toddlers sing is a few thing for sure written for an person...i'm no longer recommend "like a virgin" or something so crude yet for a woman R-E-S-P-E-C-T as an occasion could be dazzling to work out a 9 year previous do. Or "Mommas do no longer enable your babies improve as much as be cowboys" could be an exciting music to witness from a 9 year previous boy. Disney have been given it suitable whilst they secure humor for the mothers and dads in cartoons. Why no longer in a tutor like this? appreciate cheering for the final act on the city...your youngster!

Make a demo tape of her voice and then take her to a professional photographer and have a series of 'headshots' made thus creating a portfolio for her. But, be forewarned, acting, modeling, any type of performing arts business has a nasty habit of taking otherwise sweet, smart, loveable kids and chewing them up and spitting them out when they've outlived their usefulness to the business. Might not be worth traumatizing your daughter for that! I know I wouldn't (and my daughter also has exhibited talents such as yours).
