WOW! 6 days! that's 5 days, 23 hours, 59 minutes & 55 seconds longer than I would have predicted.

The Daily Cal - ah, I remember it well from my (misguided) hippie days of the '60s!

Do you remember the crying and whining about how nobody had ever kicked the Afghani's @sses and all the body bags that were gonna be stacked up waiting to come home? Same nonsense the Weak Sisters tried peddling before the first Gulf War and with the same result.

You'd think that kids going to Berkeley would be smart but, no, they're not smart - just intelligent. Their parents bequeathed too many of them a lack of common sense genes.

You'll love this - I've got a bud who works there and he thinks the campus is fairly conservative! He's so far left that he thinks the mainstream media is totally biased to the "neocons". Amazing, I know, but nevertheless it's true!

I just went onto the Stop the War Coalition's web site and see that it's now headquartered in the UK; guess it didn't gain much traction here in the US, did it?!?

It looks like pacifists (not the same as liberals, nor are UC-Berkeley students coterminous with liberals) waited to start an anti-war movement...uintil there was a war planned. Your article says:

Alarmed by President Bush's declaration that the nation is headed to a "new war" against terrorism, some students at UC Berkeley have already set up a coalition calling for an anti-war movement.

The anti-war protest at Berkeley was specifically an anti-racism rally. Regular folks could easily imagine brown skinned people being found hanging from trees after 9/11. Arab? Indian? Spanish? To conservatives, a darky is a darky. What a shame. I've heard well educated people support the Iraq invasion because of what 'they' did on 9/11.

In Lincoln, Nebraska the anti war types started their protest on September 14, three days after the wtc went down. Her first statement was that 3000 people were nothing to be excited about.

Idealistic and unrealistic in their make believe "live and let live" flower power world.

If they had any memory at all, they would recall how successful Jimmy Carter was with his negotiations with the terrorists during the Iranian hostage crisis.
Sometimes military force is the only solution - we failed to respond to the terrorists for far too long, and this inaction only culminated in the events of 9/11.

And you have a problem resisting Mr Bush's war of choice ?

Yup. You do realize that communist groups are behind the whole anti-war movement, just as they were in the 60's and 70's. Of course this fact is always left off of the news. However, it is very easy to prove.

Kinda hard to claim you love America and make no secret how much you hate Americans. Know what I mean?

Well, the Republicans had their fingers on the trigger before 9 / 11 even happened.
