She needs to visit her doctor to make sure it actually is a yeast infection unless she has had one before. First timers NEED to see a doctor because there are a lot of infections that can be confused for yeast. If she is not a first-timer she should knwo what to do already.

yeast medicine works good temporarely but you need to balance out the good bacteria inside...as an unbalance of it or even just a disturbance of it (such as intercourse) can make a yeast infection occur. I'm not a doctor but when I first got married I had a real problem with yeast infections...when we slowed down a little on the passion and didn't make love everyday it made so my body could balance back out again. :) fresh veggies and sprouts with enzymes really help to balance the good bacteria.

k..ya..yeast infections suck. medicine is good..just make sure to read the directions carefully. plus, it takes like a week to go away, even with medicine, and wen i used the cream stuff there was still half a tube left, so i finished it the next night (nite is best becuase you leak the stuf). sorry i dunno bout monostat but im poor and the stuff i got worked...the cheap stuff

Try Over the Counter azoles first and if it doesn't get any better in a week than please see the gynecologist and she/he will give her the right treatment.
