whenever women hit men on tv, everyone laughs. but when a man does it, its domestic violence and the man goes to jail.

Simply, it's not okay for women to hit men. If it's done on TV, I believe that it's meant as a sort of slapstick humour, and not like actual abuse. But it is never okay for any human being, regardless of race or gender or whatever, to hit another.
In both instances, it is domestic violence, and in some states it is treated the same as if a man had commited it. (Unfortunately, the weight of the punishment is not the same as if the perpetrator had been a man. This is a problem with our laws.)
But, unquestionably, both men and women have the right to feel safe, and nobody else has the right to abuse anyone else-- Man, or woman.

I think people feel like that because MOST men are naturally stronger than MOST women. But, domestic abuse can occur from a man or a woman. I saw a movie where the woman was the abuser and was put in jail. The channel it came on was Lifetime by the way........

Morally, no it is not ok to hit anyone, male or female. Legally, it is not ok to hit anyone, male or female. Legally, if you hit, you're supposed to go to jail, male or female. Whether that is how the laws are enforced, is another matter.
Remember, TV is not reality. The people you hear laughing on TV are on a laugh track. No, not everyone laughs at violence.

I don't think that it is right for anyone to hit another person whether it be man hitting woman or woman hitting man. I don't feel that it is OK. In some states, it doesn't matter if the woman hits a man or vise verse, they are taken to jail.

Cause it doesn't hurt big burly men like the blogbaba when tiny little women hit, but men like the blogbaba can hit a lot harder than most women. That being said I wouldn't fight Lucia Ryker or Layla Ali if they let me wear a football helmet and pads into the ring, and both of them make most models at a sports illustrated photo shoot look plain. They are both knockouts in or out of the ring.

Its NOT ok for women to hit men. But the reason men are so often told to walk away is because wheather women want to admit it or not men are more likely stronger and able to hurt women more.
