Moon is another written style for the blind
it is mostly taught to people who go blind later in life
Not all blind students can learn braille as they don't have the senitvived in their fingers

An interesting point. as a general rule, Braille is by far the best choice--but if there is aphysical reason why a student can't learn Braille, Moon type would be a good alternative.

I'd check with the American Foundation for the Blind website and see if they've anything on this-- afb.org

Moon is relatively easy to learn compared to Braille, but it's results have been said to be controversial. Anyone with disabilities should use all of there resources so I see no reason not to give it a shot. When it comes down to it, the results with be dependent on the individual.
