no, for a four hour day you should only get a paid fifteen minute break.

For working only 4 or less hours, I don't believe that an employer can do this. That few hours it is not required for anyone to take a 30 minute lunch. Contact your local agency that handles labor laws and find out from them if what they are doing is or isn't legal. If not, I would let them know what they are doing.

I had a 4 hour job...I was there for 4 hours and then I went home and I was never allowed time off to go get a snack...it was ONLY four hours of work...what would I need besides a drink? I wouldn't need to eat...if I was hungry I'd just go get something either before or after work.
