I had my tubes tied after the birth of my third child 7yrs ago all my children were c-sections and I fall pregnant very easily. My Husband and I would like another child and after speaking with my Gynecologist he suggested I could do IVF instead of having my tubes untied. Can anyone give me some advice please?

In my opinion... i think that IVF is a great idea, If you have had great fertility luck in the past and you can afford it, i would go for it. Having your tubes untied can be painful, and you still may not get pregnant. It could be a long hard road. Also, if you do a tube reversal and get pregnant are you going to tie them again since you get pregnant easy?? Just somethings to think about. Good Luck

Tubal ligation reversal enables women to conceive naturally and has a higher pregnancy rate and a higher birth rate than IVF. For most women desiring another child after a tubal ligation, tubal reversal is the best treatment.

The 'TR' procedure (known as tubotubal anastomosis) rejoins the separated segments of fallopian tube so that eggs can become fertilized and travel down the tubes into the uterus.

Most women prefer to become pregnant naturally rather than undergo the alternative of in vitro fertilization (IVF). Tubal reversal is simpler, less expensive, and has higher pregnancy and birth rates than IVF.

Tubal reversal has the added benefit of restoring the normal blood flow between the fallopian tubes, ovaries, and uterus. Here is a quote from a patient at Chapel Hill Tubal Reversal Center: "Now with my reversal, my body has gone through a positive change for the better. Even my husband noticed a change in me before I had my period. No mood swings or depression, I did not have the painful cramps, my period was not heavy, what a relief! I'm so happy that I got a chance to have a tubal reversal. Now I feel whole again. CH staff and Dr. Berger were so wonderful. God Bless! Aurora"

IVF, especially for a person with no infertility issues (low sperm count, poor egg production) should produce a pregnancy very quickly. If the cost is similar to reversing the tubal ligation (??), I'd do the IVF. Why have surgery when you don't have to? IVF bypasses the tubes altogether so you can keep them tied if you don't want a 5th child. Yeah, I'd definitely go for the IVF.

IVF is more expensive.
Five people close to me (friends & family) had their tubes untied and all were pregnant within a year of having the surgery. They all had one thing in common..The doctor!! He is the very best in this field. Go to his website and just read the testmonials of all the women he has helped. He has a payment plan also and i believe with everything in me that he is the one to go to when getting your tubes untied.

Honestly, IVF would probably be cheaper! Most insurance companies don't cover a reversal, and since it's major surgery, that would cost you a bundle! I'm not sure what the costs of IVF are, but I'm sure they are considerably cheaper! Good luck with whatever route you choose!!!

My hubby's first spouse had her tubes decrease and tied as quickly as they had 2 infants, and afterward, they divorced. shortly after she remarried a guy without infants, so she had her tubes untied and had them reconnected to have extra infants together with her 2nd husband. Her first 2 have been 'conventional' deliveries. After her tubes have been untied and reconnected, her next infants have been extra by employing C-area, besides the shown fact that I unquestionably do no longer comprehend the clarification why. And the infants born after the reversal of the tubal ligation have been completely large and conventional infants. when I had my in basic terms toddler, I went back on the pill, even nonetheless my being pregnant became no longer precisely an hardship-free one the two. I in simple terms ought to no longer make myself have the tubal ligation accomplished via fact i did no longer desire to any extent further surgical operation after having a c-area accomplished. That became somewhat adequate surgical operation for me, yet a lot of people try this as quickly as they have had a confusing being pregnant. so a approaches as having your tubes reconnected effectively, i think it might probably count on how your tubal ligation became accomplished. in the experience that your tubes have been decrease and tied, you probable have a much extra smart risk than somebody might who needed their tubes decrease and burned. There may be scar tissue there, so as that may not be as hardship-free of a 'fait accompli' as an hardship-free reducing and tying off tubal ligation may be to opposite. many of the decrease and tie tubal ligation reversals have been shown to prevail, in simple terms as having vasectomies have been effectively reversed. I easily think of it relies upon on the tactic that became used on your tubal ligation as on your fulfillment of having them untied and reconnected. while you're no longer beneficial precisely what kind of tubal ligation became accomplished on you, it truly is truly useful to invite your OB for the small print. i'm beneficial he may be chuffed to take a seat and communicate appearing a reversal on you in spite of if it truly is conceivable and how a lot opportunities you have of conceiving back!
