many people follow her everyday, cause they´re doing nothing except the news. I dont think she is a serious musician.

Iam a musicologist who collect the cult oldsongs like "child in time, woman from tokyo, kashmir, stairway to heaven, highway star, whole lotta love, smoke on the water, we´re an american band, closer to home (Iam your captain)". cause I know that these are truly masterpieces. Am I right?

Hell no, they are stupid songs with no substance. The other songs like Highway Star and Child in time are awesome.

Britney, like Madonna, has risen to the "top" through great marketing, a decent look and passable singing. She is no more a musician than New Kids on the Block or any other "Bubble Gum" group. To even consider that her music is a masterpiece or even serious music is to insult every good and great musician who stood on a stage or put pencil to paper. Three chords and a catchy hook might make a top 40 hit but it does not make a classic.

I don't think that Britney's songs are masterpieces. All her songs sell off gimmicks. Like on her first single. That innocent look is what made that song go through the roof. And for a song to be a masterpiece, it has to be up there on that level with singers like Luther Vandross or in Britney's case, someone like Mariah Carey. And Britney just doesn't make that cut. Being pretty doensn't make you an artist.

No, I am afraid not at all. She's just got a lot of press release and most of it is about her personal life rather than her actual singing career or her songs. She only does pop songs and right now their popularity are dropping fast. She's not really got songs of much substance anyway. Here today gone tomorrow. She's just one up from the one hit wonders because she had a few songs that took off ground.

she does not write the vast majority of her music.
her voice sounds like krusty the clown with a hernia
she knows nothing about music.
however, she did work very hard for her fame. it's unfortunate that she is now in such a bad state. that said, i agree with you. she is not even remotely close to being a serious musician. but she [was] an experienced, hard-working performer - which is really the only thing that most of her fans cared about.
