a = 2

since (a+4)/2 = (a+4)a

a+4/2=a+4/a
a+2=a+4/a
and then you times all of it by a
a2(a square)+2a=a2 (a square)+4
a2-a2=4-2a
0=4-2a
-4=-2a
a=2
